AIHS – A tradition of Excellence

Ataya International High School has a long history in providing quality education to a varied population of students from Lebanon and from other countries as well. It all started when Mr. Toufic Ataya who was the principle of the Elementary School at the International College of Beirut decided to launch a private elementary school called Ataya New School on Jeanne D’Arc Street in Ras Beirut in 1971.

The International School Award (ISA) is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for:

  • Nurturing global citizenship in young people
  • Enriching teaching and learning

 

ISA provides a framework for schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year, and encourages schools to collaborate with overseas schools to create a rich learning experience for students through use of ICT, creative pedagogical practices and real context for learning.

AIHS has been awarded the “International School Award 2014-2017” and accredited for outstanding development of the international dimension in the curriculum on November 24, 2014 by the British Council.

Our teachers have all achieved distinction in their fields and are specially trained to deliver a successful curriculum for all learners.

Our resident therapists are dedicated to the welfare of our students and collaborate with doctors and other therapists in order to provide quality service and follow up.

Ms. Haddad joined our school in 2010. She turned our special education department into one of the most successful ones in the Middle East region. Her work and achievement reflect her positive attitude.
